Solar Street Lights Installed at Baybay Black Sand Beach

Roxas City, as a dazzling pearl in the tourism map of the Philippines, boasts the breathtaking Baybay Black Beach. This 8-kilometer-long black beach, with its mysterious and unique black sandy texture, magnificent coastline, and charming seaside scenery, has become a popular destination for many tourists.

Due to the lack of adequate lighting facilities, the surrounding areas of the beach at night are dimly lit, which not only limits the business hours of local merchants, affecting their economic benefits, but also poses many inconveniences and safety hazards to tourists' nighttime activities, thus restricting the further development of the local tourism industry to some extent. In order to improve this situation, enhance the tourist experience, and promote the prosperity of the local tourism economy, we have carefully planned and implemented a project to install a solar lighting system at Baybay Black Beach in Roxas City.

This project adopts a solar lighting system, fully utilizing the abundant solar energy resources in the local area, without relying on traditional grid power supply. This not only reduces the consumption of traditional energy and carbon emissions, aligning with the global trend of sustainable development, but also establishes a green and environmentally friendly image for the scenic area, attracting more tourists who prioritize environmental protection.

For the vast 8-kilometer area of Baybay's black sand beach, we have conducted scientific and reasonable planning and layout, installing a sufficient number of evenly distributed solar-powered lighting fixtures. From the entrance to the end of the beach, and from the coastal trail to the surrounding commercial area, comprehensive and seamless lighting coverage has been achieved, creating a bright and comfortable nighttime environment for the entire scenic area.
